Collection: Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Fine lines and wrinkles are caused by the natural breakdown of collagen and elastin as we age. This process happens over time although can occur fasted and be effected by external factors like UV exposure, diet and lifestyle choices.

When this breakdown occurs the skin loses its elasticity and strength leading to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

There is always a bombardment of antiaging products on the market that claim to reverse the signs of aging. We select ingredients based on their individual properties and ability to support your skin with naturally derived nutrients and moisture.

Our favourite ingredients for fine lines and wrinkles are

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid occurs naturally in the body and decreases with age. In the skin it is found in the epidermis and helps keep the skin hydrated due to its high water retention ability. As we mature our production rate decreases and this can be seen with early signs of aging.

A fruit based oil which is rich in Phytosterols and Omega fatty acids (6 and 9) which are thought to protect the skin from environmental damage. This oil contains a several natural antioxidants which aim to help protect the skin from environmental stressors.

Davidson Plum

This fruit extract is high in the anti-oxidants and polysaccharides which research shows provide anti-ageing benefits and significant hydration for the skin.

Alpha hydroxy acids

Alpha hydroxy acids derived from five botanical sources.
Research and clinical trials suggests these ingredients may assist in increasing skin cell turnover, boosting collagen production, providing gentle exfoliation and brightening rejuvenation of the skin.

Marine Collagen

Our Marine Collagen is extracted from the natural seaweed variety Porphyra tenera making it suitable for vegans. It is believed to have properties that stimulate the synthesis of collagen which is critical for healthy and young looking skin.

Coenzyme Q 10

A well known potent antioxidant, Coenzyme Q10 helps to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. If free radicals are left unchecked, they can damage the cell membrane which protects against dehydration and other detrimental environmental effects. The collagen, which provides elasticity in our skin, can be compromised thus leading to the visible signs of aging such including wrinkles and sagging skin.
